Since we've been talking about gear alot lately, I'm curious as to everybody's choice for a strap. Plus I'm needing to pick one up. I have a feeling that the PRS straps are going to be very popular and they do look very nice. So lets hear what you prefer and why.

I have two PRS black nylon straps (one with the signature and one with the logo) and one PRS leather strap with birds. And the leather one never gets used. I hate the way leather sticks to my shirts, so nylon it is. I also have a black nylon strap from Fret12 with their logo on it, and it feels superior in quality to the PRS ones, I like it best.

My favorite straps are the Signature Leather and Leather Birds. They are the only straps I use.

I need one too. My favorite one went with my Gilmour Strat when sold it - it came with it. Plain black and about 3.5 inches wide, it was just right and LONG enough.

I think i'm going to try one of the heavy leather PRS straps with birds, they sure look comfortable in the pictures. ;)

Stock straps are squally only around 53 inches.......just too short. I ordered and am waiting on a strap extended whichis the back end that is 12 inches longer to allow more length. I will report back when I get it.

However, these guys are nice, too:

I've been using the glove leather PRS straps for years. Like...since they were first introduced, both signature and birds. They last forever, are ridiculously comfortable, and work well for me. I think I have 3-4 of them. I like the ones with leather on both sides, as opposed to suede backing.

I'm also going to get one of the padded leather Signature straps for my SC58.

Some of these Richter straps (German company) also look great; I'd really like to order one of the Springbreak models sometime soon, but honestly, the PRS ones are so good I have put it off. http://www.richterstraps.com/en_US

Beautiful strap!

I'd bang up my guitars with the buckle though, as I'm fairly clumsy. LOL

I still love my old Ernie Ball nylon strap. Been using the same one since the mid 90's. I have another one stashed away as a spare. I bought another one in the 00's, but it's a lot longer than the older ones and doesn't work as well for me since I hike my guitar up pretty high. It'll be a sad day if my favorite old EB strap ever wears out...

I'd love to find another strap. I have 1 main strap I've been using for like 15 years or better. Levy's padded 3" leather..but the back end(where you adjust length) is the typical nylon. I'd love to find another one.

Whatever I get, it has to have a smooth inside. Must slide freely and not grip on my shirt.

I like scary Levi's leather ones.
Need leather for the SG, as they are known for neckdive.
Leather grips a shirt better to prevent that.

Levy's M7GG3 Garment Leather Guitar Strap
My Singlecuts have a little girth to them. These straps make my shoulder happy.
They also can be adjusted very looooong. :top:

Actually Les, that buckle is on the back side of the strap and hangs over my back. It's really not in the way. Very comfortable and really well built. (Brookwood Leather).

It's really a looker! I like it a lot.

Anybody know what the max length on the PRS strap is? I checked at lunch and the strap I'm using now is 54" from hole to hole. It's nice heavy leather and the spilt side keeps it from slipping around. I could do without the extra adornments. ;)
