Hey. I need a new axe, but the price differences are not huge, so I want to make sure to pick the best option.
Currency is fucked up around here, so I'll reference the first price with "X", and the others as a product of it.
(notice the prices are different from the links because I've negotiated a better price with all of the sellers)

PRS S2 Custom 24 (2013)
Link: https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/MLB-1117996437-guitarra-prs-custom-24-_JM
Price: X

PRS S2 Custom 22 (2014)
Link: https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br...prs-custom-s2-custom-22-seminova-com-case-_JM
Price: 1,18*X

PRS S2 Custom 24 (this ones looks overpriced)

Price: 1,35*X

PRS CE 24 Vintage SB (1994)
Link: https://produto.mercadolivre.com.br...4-custom-_JM?quantity=1&variation=33211772488
Price: 1,38*X

For the record:
Gibson flying V pro t 2016 (new): 1,46*X
Ltd EC-1000S (new): 0,73*X

I play rock music, anything from standard pop punk to low tuning metal.
Thanks!

I think your choice would depend on whether you'd like a trem bar, or stop tail. The pickups are varied as well, best to listen to several and make your choice in that manner.

If the choice depends on your wallet, I'd choose the red S2 Cu24.

Those LTD EC-1000 are great guitars. I had one and they are pretty amazing, but I think they are not at the same level as an S2 or a CE. Regardless, you need to consider a few things regarding the LTD's. The neck is considerably thinner than what you get on a S2, a shorter scale (24.75" vs 25"), and a flatter fretboard radius (13.8" vs 10"). They play really nice and the quality on those surprised me, but I believe they are more comparable with a SE model. Personally, I think it's worth going with one of the PRSi. I like the color on the two red S2s better. Regarding S2 vs the CE, the CE should be a bit brighter compared to the S2. Also, I'm not too sure how reliable the info the seller of the CE posted in his listing. The 85/15 are pickups developed in 2015, much later than the year of that guitar, though he could have swapped the pickups. I think those originally came with HFS/Vintage Bass pickups. Also, if it's truly a 1994 model, the body should be alder with a maple cap, not mahogany with a maple cap. If the CE has the wide thin neck (technically not a Pattern thin), that should feel a bit thinner than the Pattern Regular on the S2s.

That's what worries me, he probably just copied the specs from a newer model, it even said "birds inlay" (clearly dots) before I pointed that out and he corrected the info. Maybe he doesn't know what's on his hands.

Cool axe nonetheless, check how the paint has worn https://bit.ly/2BHSDHl

He even got the color wrong. That's not a Vintage Sunburst, that's probably a Royal Blue that has faded over time. The Royal Blue can be very similar to the Whale Blue, but the reason I think it's royal is because the binding on the body is the same color as the top. Whale Blue usually have a natural maple binding. Probably because the was kept outside of its case when not being played. Or even in the case with the lid opened (see how the sides are still very blue?). The stock pickups on those CE models were also pretty good and the older CEs had some extra mojo in them. I love the new CEs, but the older ones were essentially Core model with deep . If you can afford the CE, it'd be a great purchase even if the blue has faded so much and is basically unrecognizable.

How much do you think the 1994 CE 24 is worth in dollars?
