I'm a righty and a proud owner of a few prsi. My good friend is a lefty, and we need to try s few prsi before he'll lay out the cash for one. Especially considering the exchange rate to CAD these days. We're looking for stores in the NE or else Toronto and East in Canada.

Aside from theguitarshop, any suggestions?

Being lefty is tough!! As a fellow lefty, I decided to learn guitar right handed do to the lack of inventory. I can only offer a "good luck" to you guys trying to find lefty prs in stock.

I just learned to play righty some 51 years ago. Theoretically, it is an advantage with the strong hand handling fretting and coordinated speed. ( Hasn't helped me any).

Island Music Co. in Maryland have a few lefties, where you at?

Or you could follow my lead, and buy a few used guitars to get you started. Guitar Center has a decent return policy, and you can usually learn whether or not you want to keep a guitar within 30 days of it shipping. Get to know, for example, swamp ash from mahogany from rosewood.

Just don't hold on to every guitar you buy, with the intention of selling them later, and then never get around to it, like I do.

That's the theory and I subscribe to it, somewhat. After a four hour gig it's the fretting hand that gets the huge workout, and clamp the crap outta the neck. So having my dominant hand taking that job is an advantage.

Good of luck finding the lefties. I'd just restring a righty, personally, but if you can find stock, all the better. Wish I knew where some were.

Haven't checked their website for a while, but The Guitar Shop in Toronto had quite a few lefty's a few weeks ago.

We're in Ottawa. So theguitarshop is known. We're looking dor anywhere else we might find more leftys in stock

If you're looking for PRSi, good luck. They're out there but as rare as hens teeth. There are some companies that really go out of their way for that small market. Ibanez always has a few, ESP has a few, Schecter always has a but load. Then there's PRSi, which will go years with out making one, except for private stock. They are making a Special run of 30th Anni. Custom 24's this year though, if they haven't all be bought up.

I too learned to play "right" handed because that's all we had sitting around. I'm so ambidextrous though I can pick up a lefty and after about 5 minutes of dicking around to switch my brain over I can play that just as well as I can play a right.
