Greetings,
First post..... I have never had a PRS until recently I bought an old, scarred, Vela and I love it! I have been playing a '58 les paul reissue for many years with the BIG chunky neck for many years and I wanted a second guitar mainly to string up in different tunings which is why I bought the Vela . That, plus it was cheap.)
So, I quickly adapted to the much skinnier neck so easy that it is a non-issue, and the stock pickups sound great.
Anyway, I also recently tried a friend's Mccarty (volume/tone only, stop tail bridge, not a 594),and was amazed at the versatility and playability as well.
Started my search for a 2020 or 2021 Mccarty with the " TCI" pickups and coming up empty everywhere. Local music stores? nope.
Online music stores? nope. Craigslist? Reverb? Nope.
Does PRS only make a few each year that quickly get sold out? Is it the supply chain issue?
Any insight appreciated!
