It’s a recreation of the guitar Paul built for Peter Frampton.

That was the original headstock design, and f@ck yeah I’d rock it.

I wasn’t aware they were the ones that commissioned them. They’re on some next level sh!t over there, for what seems like relative newcomers.

From the top carve to the recessed Badass bridge down to the Schaller M6’s that guitar is an amazing homage and capital C.O.O.L.

I appreciate the historicity, but then I look at the funky routing for that bridge, and the neck tenon cutout thing, and it makes me realize that PRS has certainly come a very long way.

It’d be fun to play one just for grins, though.

I’m surprised! The amount of R&D, CNC programming, and not least a few prototypes, usually would lend to wider release and production. Very impressive of Moore’s if that’s the case.

PRS actually tracked down 70s NOS Leo Quans and Schallers for that run. I just read the story earlier today and now I can’t find it.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder after all.

Count me as the 5th No vote. Maybe you have to appreciate the full history of PRS guitars to appreciate this specific one.
