When do you sell??

I have a 'thing-looper' in my brain. Here's how it works:

I start out with not enough stuff.

To rectify that I shop and get to the point of too much stuff.

Then I sell what I bought.

But after a little time passes, I get that not enough stuff feeling.

Then I acquire too much stuff again.

So I sell it off.

Then...

Well, you get the idea. My life is a cycle of not enough stuff and too much stuff, and ne'er the twain shall meet.

I’ve sold 3 SE’s in the last week. A replacement SE Singlecut Korina should be done at my luthiers tomorrow. It’s getting a VB in the neck and a 59/09 in the bridge, along with a rotary and USA pots. I’m also waiting for a core SAS to sell so that I can replace it with a Black Limba CE 24/08. My partner is great about all this.

Haven't ever sold. But I've given a couple away: an SE245 that I knew was going to be a present when I bought it and my original S2 594 SC that I just didn't bond with compared to the SE245s and the Cores, after a year or so.

Hardly ever. I can’t really handle the headache. As of late, the few things I’ve let go, I’ve traded in at Dave’s. I’d like to let some other things go, but I’ll likely continue to trade multiple things toward something I’ll use more.

my ham fists burned up too many d chords frets early on which forced me to being a luthier collector etc. I am not a build it up from scratch luthier but more of a " flip the first fret" luthier which gets wear out of the picture for a while. I also like to keep my fret boards decent. bought a new PRS se std and the fretboard looked like a bail of hay. looks better now, but in Minnesota we have humidity in summer and winter dries everything out.

anyhoo, love my SE standard 25 plays like a dream. L6dist
