What's your favorite finish?

So I am already planning another PRS purchase and am leaning towards an SC58 in Black Gold. I am also really interested in some of the green or blue finishes as well. Almost too many to choose from. What are your favorite finishes?

Black Gold is probably my favorite as well. Although I have seen some really nice work done with Armondo's Amethyst, especially on quilt tops. Trampas green also looks really nice with a natural back. Ultimately though, I feel like there are some spectacular examples of almost every finish, if you look for one that speaks to you!

for me the wood is far more important than the color, but i am partial to the 2 stage effect used on a lot of their quilt tops..... i like them so much, i used it on my latest build in progress.

I assume you mean favorite among standard colors? I really like the look of my Black/Gold PRS (see photo) so that would be my first pick. Perhaps my next PRS will be one of those exotic, over the top color schemes.

I am more into brownish finish, I like Yellow Tiger, Black Gold, and Autumn Sky.

I like a lot of colors in the red/orange range. So I like a lot of the colors in that group. I think my favorite guitar color ever is classic cherry burst. I also like pink guitars for some reason so I really like some of the pink/purple fades I've seen come out of the custom shop.

I started to list, but there are so many... charcoal burst, charcoal cherry burst, Balck Gold, Eriza Verde Smokeburst and if start to mention the Private Stock ones... Dragon's Breath, Frostbite, etc...

Personally, I only like the amber-toned ones on singlecut guitars, but I like a lot of colors on the traditional PRS shape...Frostbite, Aquamarine, and Armando's Amethyst are my favorites right now.

Personally I like the original jewel colors: Royal Blue, Emerald Green, and Purple. Black Gold is probably the only newer finish I really love.

I prefer PRS guitars without the "smokeburst." Bursts look good on Strats, but I don't think they look great carved-top guitars unless they're subtle, like Violin Amber Sunburst. Black Gold looks better to me without the burst.

Oh, and Jet White is good, too, as long as it's a wraparound.
