I'm at GC playing this wonderful 20th Anni dark bronze CE24 (very unique color), and it's got a wacky Paul Reed Smith logo - I knew that the man was a myth, but not a "mith"! It doesn't look like anyone's messed with the logo - it looks like it came from the factory like this.

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

I'm this close to pulling the trigger...!

This thing is so dirty, I need to go home and disinfect. Nasty fretboard, bridge is tarnished and bolted down flush, but man, it sounds and plays phenomenal!

Price is not great - gotta see if they'll play ball. It's going to need some TLC. The color is so unique - hard to capture with a phone:

Cool looking!

Good question. Mint... probably 1500-1700. In the condition this one was in, no more than 1200-1300. There's nothing I'd like (PRS-wise) more than an older CE, but I know when to walk. I still regret missing out on a similar condition Blazing Copper CE a year ago at 899. All comes down to timing... finding the right guitar at the same time I have disposable cash in my pocket. ;)

I think you did the right thing. If the price doesn’t feel right you gotta walk. I know it hurts at GC cause you know some dude is meatballing that thing right now, trying their best to ding the body with something random, scratch the back up with their keychain, careen the guitar cable off the headstock somehow, and get Cholula on the fretboard from the tacos they ate 15 min before walking in there...but we just can’t rescue all the used gear from GC. ;) They can have good deals there, but the haggling on used gear can be fairly mindless, at times. Until they have something for a while they are reluctant to haggle at all on the price, depending on the manager.

Bummer. Kind of surprised considering some of the deals they do.
The new direction from Corporate is no dealing - there is no longer any wiggle room, the price is the price. If/when they decide to drop the price due to the item gathering dust (90 days?), it will be done as scheduled, not a day earlier.

I tried to negotiate on a few things recently found online at various stores, and after calling them up, that is what I was told, in a nutshell.

The only thing they might shift price on is if something is missing that should be there, like an amp footswitch. Not even sure they'll wiggle for a trem bar. And if the guitar doesn't say "case included", then no discounts if no case.

Yeah as a company they are a financial disaster right now so it sounds like they are trying to protect margin. Off topic I suppose.... sorry... ;-)
