what's the story with Standard 24 models? (Not SE - US made)

Pulled the trigger and it's on the way! so excited. Looks like you did some major upgrades. Are they 85/15 TCI? I have a set of 85/15 TCI and hybrid mann bridge which I am thinking about installing them once it gets here.

Were original parts not good? I am assuming it's a gen ii tremolo bridge?
Nice one, brother. You will love it. Standards may not be as eye-catching as figured maple top guitars, but they give back tenfold with their resonance. They are excellent guitars.

In my '99 Standard, I kept the bridge stock, including the bridge saddles, although they came sanded to the bare brass for some reason. Changing them to a new set may be something I do eventually, but it has never been a priority for me. Although, I have changed all the bridge screws to non-plated brass ones. Furthermore, I replaced the tuners with Phase III and the entire electronics as well. I had three different sets of pickups in mine before I settled on the open coil set of Metals. I believe they complement the guitar the best and are exactly what I want this guitar to do. They are a notch hotter than the Custom on the 85/15 I have here, but not worlds apart. I didn't like the stock HFS/VB pickups very much. I wasn't really a massive fan of the other pre-XX/XX pickups either. The currently made pickups turned my head back to PRS.
