Answering my own question, I ordered the brown paisley strap this weekend and already have it in my hands. It is an awesome strap, it's a great value for the quality and yes, it's leather (and paisley case fabric). I highly recommend it!

I received mine yesterday and I agree with you. The quality of this strap is way better than many. I even noticed that the Paisley "cut" is centered and follows the pattern all along the strap to maintain the aesthetics. Cool!

Have this strap on my green SC. Not something I would have thought I'd like, but I do.
