Whatcha doing for Thanksgiving?

My Wife & I spent 9 years in a row, hanging out in Florida for Thanksgiving. She nixed that tradition last year. I had gotten kind of partial to Seafood Thanksgiving, but She is the boss & wants to spend T-giving with the Grandkids. So I am hanging out at my house with my 4 Grandkids over T-Giving.


What are your plans?

Heading to the 'rents...Mom is cooking, kids coming from their Mom's, sister from out of town, and my 95 year old Grandmother...

When my sons were small I use to go all out and cook a huge meal at home just like my parents did.

Now I go across the steet to the Muckleshoot casino to their buffet which is good.
Been doing that for close to ten years.
I spend about $10 to $20 on the machines as I only gamble once a year there.

It is a fun night, and also there is a live rock band playing one of the clubs in there.
Best this is I can walk there in five minutes or so if the weather is good.

Going to Cozumel to spend some time with my daughter who is doing an Iron Man there.

I developed food allergies about 3.5 years ago, including corn, turkey, and apples.... so that kind of killed any sense of a Thanksgiving traditional meal for me. So now I tend to boycott and ignore the holiday since I'm tired of explaining to offended family & friends why I can't eat any of that delicious food they've spent hours preparing.

I spend it (Thursday-Sunday) in Gurnee, IL with an old college buddy in efforts to keep up our tradition. We eat out every meal...Jimano's and Portillo's and play lots of video games. I consider it great fun.
