Spent part of last night in the ER visiting with a Friend Kid after he landed a jump on his BMX bike but couldn't miss the tree on run out from the landing... He'll be fine...short term and I'd bet on him in the long term too!

bah! that's nothin' but a minor flesh wound. I got stitches somewhere - usually face/head, once a year from age 2 to 12. Took me a decade to 'stabilize the thought processes'. By the time I was 8 or so, the doctors would do the obligatory 'private talk' where they drilled me about what 'really happened' hoping I'd say someone was abusing me. I'd just laugh and roll my eyes and say 'Nope! I just tried to something crazy, and this time it didn't work'. My teens were less problematic in that regard, since I finally learned how to be safely crazy. Now, I'm just plain crazy - but man, the times I had! :biggrin:
