What PRS model is Mayer playing here ? & Super Eagle II

This red "core" model showed up in Hollywood and Shoreline, CA gigs. When he wasn't playing the Hemp Green Super Eagle. I can't place the model with 3 knobs, stop piece and tune o matic bridge.

That would be a custom build for John. Jimmy Herring has used a similar control layout in the past on his artist builds.

Yeah, definitely a custom build. Obviously impossible to tell body thickness, but it kinda looks like a play on the 594 with custom controls. Controls are a little bit reminiscent of an SG.

Yeah, that was the working title for the color, but I wasn't sure if he was going to stick with it. I'm glad he did!

I think the same. They just replaced the upper tone control with the toggle switch and left the hole in the horn out. I'm speculating two volumes, master tone?

That's my guess. Looks like it's all mahogany too. Would make a great new model: McCarty 594 Standard.

I saw a close up pic, it's definitely all mahogany. I think you're right on the 594 Standard idea.
