What pedals do you use?

Different set-ups for different gigs is where it's at! Kinda like a different outfit for the right occasion. (Oddly enough) Some people at church hate it, they're like "Why not bring the big board at every event small or big?" And I also get alot of snide remarks - pretty sure it's just the usual jealous types though.

Anyways, it's a nice feeling to have a different set-up for a different style or event. Where most guitarists simply change the amp and the guitar, I figure why not go all the way and switch up the pedals as well? At that point, the musician really knows all their owned gears insides and ours anyway... or should haha
No Need Lugging Around More If You Don't Truly Need It. I Have Often Times Thought Of Making Brand Only Boards As Well Just For Kicks...Or Should I Say Taps? :)

I Have So Much Stuff That Having A Lot More Of It On A Board(s) Would Likely Get Me Using Things More Often Which Would Be A Good Thing And Then I Could Have A Couple Of Master Boards For The Proper Occasions.

Indeed! The biggest board I have must be 60+ lbs. It's one of those dual layer flight cases wherewhich the board stays in, I couldn't haul it back and forth everywhere. I myself only weigh 140lbs so it would just be a pain to every week.

My very first pedalboard was all Boss pedals but then I remember my dad bought me a Kirk Hammett wah and a Fulldrive 2 Mosfet edition so it broke the brand only rule after that. Unfortunately I have none of those pedals anymore. When I moved I forgot that board at a church I played at. By the time I realized it had to have been many months later, I called that church and asked the pastor, he said "They're all here but on different guitarists boards. They didn't think you'd want them back so they pirated them". I told him that was okay and they could keep them. Shortly after that is when I first started working on all I have now.

Memories!

Every amp I have has its own board BUT for the HDRX 20 and any single channel amp this is my current board , the Horsemeat is a great pedal.

I've heard great things about the Horsemeat. I remember everyone on TGP claiming that Paul said it was a modified Klon circuit, then I remember him coming out on some video saying that it wasn't and that it was an original circuit.

I'll keep the Horsemeat in mind!

I am on this same page. It isn't like they didn't know who they belonged to. They just didn't bother trying to find the person and decided to just take them and use them as their own.
True...That Sure Says A Lot About The Leadership.

With the right amp (a Hot Cat) my DGT doesn't really need any pedals. I use an EP Booster for "a little more", and a delay (doesn't really matter which one) in the fx loop for a little slapback. A Grissom thing is what I'm going after. I have a couple of various other pedals, but I use them very sparingly... Swamp Thang tremolo, Arion Chorus (used for a Leslie sound)... that's about it.

That DGT bridge pickup just HAS IT, all by itself (with the right amp)

I have alot of pedals, but limited my response to my DGT since this is the PRS forum lol.

Hmmmm... Interesting. I'm curious to what pedals you have exactly. I've never heard of pedals limiting the response of a good amp or good guitars/pickups, they should be enhancing your response and sound. Hence why I said earlier, I am getting into well made compressors. They shouldn't take away from dynamics or quality of time in any way but it's up to the user to learn how to use pedals properly in most cases.

You misinterpreted... I'm not talking about the AMP's response to pedals, I'm talking about MY RESPONSE to this thread LOL.

For example, when I use my tele into my Swart, I often use a Hot Cake. But there is no PRS involved, so I didn't mention it. I limited my response to PRS only.

Ahhhh okay. My bad lol Got it!

I have several pedals on my board but what I found out surprisingly is I decided to run the new Boss IR II through my Mesa and have found the tones I have been trying to create!!
Now I just use a commpressor, one of 3 dirt pedals as needed, and occasionally a harmonizer pedal.

I've been excited about pedals.

But never that excited.
In his defense,, I have off and on been a bit obsessed with them. There have been times when I fall asleep looking at them on my phone and the wifey looks at my phone and is just like "Really.....?"

There are also times when people at church ask me if I got a new pedal probably in hopes that I say something like "No, I don't have money for that right now." You can kinda see the disgust on their faces when I say "YEAH!" and get really into the specifics, sounds and specs. I imagine inside they're saying "Please shut up... I should have never opened my mouth" LOL!!!

The people at church probably just want to steal more of your pedals
