what model is my PRS?

hi guys,

I own this beautiful PRS and I'd like to know what model this is....

the serial number is: 317873

according to my search on this site it's dated from 1993.

is it a CE model?

CEs have bolt on necks. Definitely a CU24

The Custom 24 was redesigned in 2011, that's why it looks different. The 5-way rotary switch on your guitar was replaced with a blade switch, like on a Stratocaster. Otherwise, it's the same model. Looks like yours was built at the very end of 1993. It has the short neck heel and probably has a one-piece bridge.

Great looking guitar, especially for its age.

I own a PRSvguitar very similar in color and wood, and absolutely identical otherwise. It's a 1993 Custom 24.

But I just noticed one significant difference. The Custom 24 has the bird spreading wings inlay. Yours may be a Standard 24. But the wood looks like a Custom 24

Definitely an early 90's Custom 24. You can tell from the tuners, dots, knobs and, as mentioned, the neck heel. Looks great for it's age.

Custom 24s were available with an option of moons (dots) or birds.
Customs had maple tops, Standards were all mahogany. So that is a Custom 24.
