It definitely has a unique tone. It sounds great until I get into my amp's higher gain settings (JSX Satriani head). I suspect the pickups as it sounds kinda loose and lacks definition. I am likely going to change out the RPs just trying to decide what to try. I want pickups that handle moderate to high gain equally well and clean up nicely when I roll the volume back. I do like the twangy tele type tone I get I pull the tone knob but also want a great rockin tone too. Any pickup suggestions?

before you change out the Rps play with the height they are very sensitive to pickup height, get it right and they can sound great, great looking guitar by the way
