I did a few searches and nothing came up.
Sorry if this has been covered.
Only thing I can find is they run in the mid 7's for ohms, and are lightly potted.

I have a used PRS 594 Singlecut with newer TCI tuned specs coming this week.
Am really interested to see and hear how it compares to the many Les Paul historics I have had.

Any info is appreciated.

A2's, Early Gibson re-issues were using A2's also, now they have a custom bucker with A3

Why ponder? They all have their pluses and minuses…

Thanks.
Has PRS confirmed they use A2s?
I read some posts in searches that they were not divulging that info.

I have had well over a dozen LP historics.
They have had various pickups including 57 classics, BBs, Custombuckers from Gibson and aftermarket ones from all the usual suspects like Wizz, OX4, Throbak, SD, etc.

I was just curious as to what PRS chose to use in their ongoing effort to build a better Les Paul.

Will report my impressions of the 594 this week.

Got the 594 and it is very nice singlecut LP style guitar.
The pickups are interesting. Both read out at 8.08 ohms.
The bridge pickup sounds like a SD Antiquity which is A2.
The neck pickup has its own thing going.
The guitar has a little more clarity than a Les Paul historic on low end. Very similar otherwise.
