What exactly is a "Paul's Amp"?

What exactly is a "Paul's Amp"?

If I were to guess, I would think that it might be similar to an "Original Sewell" or a Dallas or a Blistertone, or maybe even share a few characteristics of each. But rather than guess, does anyone know for sure what one of these (let's say the 50 watt version and without any special tweaks) amps are designed to do? What was the tone goal when these were made?

Anyone know?

Ah, I found it. It's more like a HX/DA and intended to be (as always) a single amp that can do anything with an emphasis on being able to take pedals very well.
