What did you do/get for Christmas

Heather forgave my "debt to the home account" regarding a certain guitar that shall not be named. It also counts for next Christmas. And my birthday. :biggrin:

I'm in the same boat. earlier in the year my wife got me a custom 24 charcoalburst that counts for a couple birthdays and christmas'.
i treated myself for christmas by buying a Traynor YCS50 combo amp.

Although I placed the order for my new amp last August, I received it first week in December, of course my wife didn't let me open the boxes 'til Christmas so I guess it qualifies as a Christmas gift to myself

couldnt be happier with the sounds emanating from this beast, and it plays nice with my pedalboard! :rock::rock:

I'm new here but I thought I would chime in.

I bought my first PRS last month as an early Christmas present to myself. I went with the Santana SE in yellow. I loved everything about and can't believe what a tremendous value it is. I've been playing for nearly 30 years and have owned countless guitars. The quality, fit, finish and feel does not match the price tag. The only complaint I had was the tuners. I couldn't keep the guitar in tune. I do my own tech work. I thought it was due to binding at the nut. I filed the slots out and added a little pencil lead. It help a little but the problem was still there. I replaced them with a set of Grover 406N (nickel) locking tuners and it stays in tune perfectly now. On a side note, I am also impressed with how easy it is to set up the PRS guitars. I replaced the stock 9's with 10's and adjusted the intonation in minutes.

Christmas was awesome. We host Christmas Eve dinner for my wife's family. We had a house full. Awesome food and good times. The kids(age 6, 13 & 17), wife and I stay home on Christmas day. I cook a big breakfast after the kids open their gifts and the wife cooks a huge dinner in the late afternoon. The kids spend the entire day in their PJ's. I spend the day putting things together and playing video games with the kids. I cherish every minute of it. The best part? I get 2 weeks off every Christmas. I spend as much time as possible with the kids.

I got a Yamaha THR10X amp from my wife. My kids bought me a new pair of Nike running shoes, some new Adidas sweat pants, 2 hoodies and several T shirts. I also got a bunch of new books (3 fiction, 1 baseball coaching book [I coach my son's travel team] and 3 guitar related books), strap locks and a 32GB flash drive. They really spoiled me this year.

The 2012 SE Santana was my introduction to the world of PRS, and it indeed is a very nice guitar.

I too have the Yamaha THR10X, it is a little beast

Bogner Shiva 20th with verb. I have wanted one for some time, but was waiting for the right deal. Geese alerted me to a minty one that was a steal. Very glad to have scored one. I love this amp. My Charcoal Cherry Burst sounds monster though this amp. I also really like it with my 408 and 57/08 equipped guitars. I have a standard Shiva (new version) with EL34s and verb. I can see keeping both, but if I had to choose...20th.
