What brand Pots are used in the current S2 and Core Models?

Does anyone know what brand (Alpha/Bourns/CTS/etc.) are used in the current S2 and Core Models?

Full sized pots are CTS, but they are custom made to PRS specs.

Don't know who makes the push/pulls.

My S2 McCarty 594 Thinline has the 920D CTS volume pots in it.

Do you think I should put the PRS ones in it, or is it not worth going to the trouble?

The pots that PRS has specd are a low friction variety. That’s for ease of turning.

I would think that means someone swapped them out. The PRS ones will only give you a slightly different taper and low resistance if the 920d one does not.

If you like what's in there, no need to change. As mentioned the PRS ones are really easy to spin and not everyone likes that.
