What Are You Working On?

Interesting read through this thread! It's good to see a lot of folks digging into new things, covering new ground.
Indeed it is!

And, with regards to my project, which I mentioned weeks ago (Getting the Warehouse 12L into the Mesa Thiele cab) I've run into several problems.
first, both of my drill/power screwdriver batteries were dead. Neither would even charge on the charger. I read that if they get too dead, they won't charge and you can get a little charge into them some other way, then the charger will recognize them and charge them fully. That didn't work, so I bought two new batteries. Turns out, it's not the batteries that are the problem, it's the charger. So now I have to get a charger as well, but when I do I'll have 4 batteries. LOL (And, I'm getting at least one new speaker right away for the PRS 2x12 pine which has more screws than any cab in history, so I may need all four of them! :p I'm just kidding, or course, but WOW does that thing have a lot of screws!

When the new charger gets here, I'll get that done.

A few years back, one of my Milwaukee tool chargers stopped charging my 18v battery packs (of which I have at least half a dozen for as many or more tools) and I sent it in for warranty repair. They sent it back and said nothing was wrong with it. Tried it again, still did not work. Lucky for me, I have two of those chargers and the other one still works fine, but they really let me down claiming a broken product works just fine. I gave up ;~((

Had the same problem with my drill/charger. Gave up and went back to the old school. Bought a nice drill with a cord! Works everytime!

You know I never thought about it before, but like the rotary dial phone, I would not be surprised if 10 years down the road, most kids do not know what a power chord is!

I must say though, my favorite tool in my Milwaukee collection is the "Hackzall". It is like a "Sawzall" but smaller, held in one hand. Takes the same blades as the Sawzall. I use it when I don't want to fire up the chainsaw and the cut is under 4 inches diameter or so. I have cut more stuff with the two "Hackzall's" I have owned (first one I ran over with the lawnmower but have since salvaged parts from it) than any other cutting tool in my life, and 90% of those cuts would have been way more difficult and time consuming with a power chord attached!

Right now I'm dipping my toes back into recording, after dissolving my performing music duo. Don't have any good ideas songwriting wise so I'm working on a cover of a Free Jazz tune "Thembi" by sax legend Pharaoh Sanders. It's coming out OK but between the arthritis and being off playing much improv for the past couple years, I've got some brushing up to do before I have something presentable.

Get back on that horse, Hugs! We’re always looking forward to hear something new from you.

Sounds like a handy tool to have! Last February we had a bad ice storm come through our area. Limbs were down everywhere and one fell down in my driveway. (No property or car damage). Based on your description that Hackzall would have been ideal for about 70% of that limb.
