What Are You Working On?

As someone who's been in the fast-paced environment of New York’s financial markets, I’ve always known the importance of reacting quickly. But the truth is, humans are limited—bots aren’t. That’s why trading bots have become essential for me. They react instantly, without hesitation, and follow the strategies I set up without letting emotions interfere. Felixball.io offers some of the best tools I’ve come across in the crypto space. Their bots work tirelessly to maximize profits and minimize risks, all while giving you the freedom to step away from the screen. One of the features I like most is the flexibility. Whether you’re a day trader or looking for long-term investments, the bots on Felixball.io can adapt to any strategy you have in mind. And the returns I’ve seen? Let’s just say they’ve exceeded my expectations. You don’t need to be glued to the market when you have bots working for you. Here’s the link to check it out https://felixball.io Whether you're in it for the short game or the long haul, these bots have you covered.
will there be a recording?

Working on an original song. Now that my summer projects are done I want to get back into the swing of this kind of thing.

I soley play at church and what I play there is pretty straight forward. No complaints. But I sat down with the intention of trying to come up with something that is different than what I normally do. It's been challenging for sure. Got the verses, choruses and a solo section, just not sure how to get out of it and how to wrap it up. Got lots of ideas for it, just gotta sort through it all and keep working on it.

Been a while since I've written anything and I'm totally enjoying this! Hoping to make some real progress this winter.

I have been working on this piece written about a prehistoric guy just trying to get through the day. Since I can’t sing, I had to come up with the instrumental elevator version first. A friend is working on the vocals so hopefully I can finish it soon.

The version with vocals is ready! Glad I have friends who can sing . . . .

Working on an original instrumental with a bit of “Dust in the Wind” vibe with my McCarty 594. Tweaked a Boss acoustic tone through the PRS Archon and also developed my own acoustic tone through a Spark 40 practice amp that might actually sound just as good or better. I am going to record it twice through those two amps and leave it an impartial jury to judge the winner.

Rhythm guitar on Immigrant Song for our new Zep show and it’s kicking my butt. I can’t get it anywhere near the speed of the original. I slow it down and can get the lick sounding passable at 65%. But when I speed up to match the recording, it’s just an hot mess. Any tips from the Jimmy Page clones out there?
Are you using all down picking?

No, I’m alternate picking. Well, actually more like strumming. Really having problem with left hand muting (I’m right handed) to get it to sound right, especially the fourth string F#.
Try palm muting with your right hand close to the bridge and just use down picking. I can use the edge of my hand to control the amount of muting and how much I want a string to ring out by decreasing the pressure on the strings. It’s a combination of rolling my hand and lifting it slightly off the strings.
Your left index finger can also help mute the A string by using just the tip (😁) of your finger to hold the note.

Truth! And Of Course...TWSS!

Edit: "Just The Tip To Hold That Note..." 🤣

I finished this hybrid minimalist piece a couple of days ago, and posted it in the studio section. It combines classical (violins, woodwinds, piano) and electronic instruments.

I kind of like the direction and will start another one later today. Takes me a week or two to do one of these, despite the simplicity.

Do we get to be a part of that impartial jury? Hope so ;~)) Looking forward to hearing it (whether I get selected for jury or not)!

Yeah, I can play it with all eighth note down strokes and a combination of palm and left hand muting. It’s when I try to add the sixteenth note up strokes that it falls apart. It’s getting better, slowly. I got frustrated when I couldn’t master it in a day. But I feel much better about contributing something to practice next week.
