I saw the Ghost movie Saturday, and it was excellent - can't wait to get it on Blu-Ray (I'm assuming a release is coming).
I still remember the first time I saw this band - all I knew was the name, and that they were an up and coming thing. I hadn't seen a picture or heard a note of their music. The venue I saw them at is notoriously slow getting people in, and they were first on the bill and came on just as I was getting through the door. When Papa walked out, I started laughing, then realized that the band were all wearing masks, and I laughed harder. Then I looked them up online, and Wikipedia called them "a Satanic band from Sweden." I looked at the stage, then my phone, then the stage again and said, "People are taking this seriously?" It was clearly parody, a point that was only made clearer over the years, like when one of the guitarists said in an interview that one time he picked up the wrong guitar and he and the other guitarist couldn't figure out who was who for a few minutes. The "guitarist" was actually Tobias Forge, who is the lead singer and the main force behind the band - he's been all four Papas, including Papa Emeritus II who was replaced by his "six-month younger twin Papa Emeritus III".
