I went to see Trower a few years ago. I knew a couple songs, but I wasn't familiar w/his catalog at all. I was pretty sure my buddy liked him, so that was enough for me to go with him. About a 90 minute show, was not bored or distracted for a second. Have not missed him since then when he's been in town, and we already have tix for September when he's back. I picked up the box set of his 10 Chrysalis albums - pretty sure it was under $35. Worth every penny!

I remembered he was in Procol Harem, and played an SG then! When the Bridge of Sighs album came out, I really got into his sound on it and Twice Removed from Yesterday. We played several of his songs in a late 70s band (Shame The Devil and Somebody Calling) which gave room for the kind of longer jams you could get away with in those days. I need to go see him on his next Houston visit. It’s a shame James isn’t still with us!

That's funny...I've been in a '90s frame of mind today.

Thanks, guys! The bridge pickup of the Chris Robertson is actually a \m/. I took out the stock 57/08 a year ago because it wasn't hot enough for me. As for the Kemper profiles I used for that track, I profiled my MT15 along with the matching 112 cab and added Tube Screamer and analog octaver for my effects. For the Kingfisher, I used an Ampeg profile (Amp Pig on the Kemper lol) and recorded them directly to Logic Pro.

Clint Lowery opened for Alter Bridge last night. He was really good and a PRS guy as well. This is a good tune off his new album. TURN IT UP!!!!!!

Kind of a Three Days Grace vibe.

Got some Steely Dan on today. Been a fan since the 70s, and I just never get tired of it. The creativity and musicality, the little things under the surface, a little humor here and there... inspirational.
