I have been listening to a lot of live cuts from both David Lindley and Lucinda Williams. I have seen Lu three times, and she always has great guitarists in her band, but Doug Pettibone has had a huge influence on me in terms of sound and playing style.
One of my regrets is not being able to see David Lindley, especially with El Rayo X. That was a phenomenal band I would put up against anyone back in the day.
