What Are the Specs of a "PRS SE Custom MIK"? I don't know what "MIK" means. What is the significance of a "PRS SE Custom 2009 MIK"? Thanks, Richard

MIK = Made in South Korea. World Music there used to build the SE line there. Most of them (the solid bodies) are now built in the Cort Factory in Indonesia… both are great factories, imho
Rod, Thanks for your info. Next question: In your opinion, is a PRS SE Custom 2009 MIK worth about $500 to $550 delivered? Or what would such a PRS be worth? Thanks in advance. Richard

Hi Richard.. you’re welcome … I think that $500 is tops for the age considering the inflated used market these days but if I was gonna go for an SE Custom 22 or 24, I’d buy a newer one. PRS has refined their imported line a lot since 2009…Other folks on here are much better versed than I am on the SE line. They will chime in…..

Rod, Again, thanks for your info & effort. I'll take your advice to heart. Hopefully, some other people might chime in. Richard

I own a 2015 SE Singlecut trem that is a magic guitar, the front man in our band has a 2015 SE Singlecut stoptail with a one piece ribbon mahogany neck that is a magic guitar. There are times in each factory (depending partially on the wood delivered) when the guitars are magic, better than most of the others. The hunt is always on to find the magic guitar in each model. That magic is in the ears of the players, so it cannot always be quantified. If you ask SergioDeblanc, there are certain SE years he favors. A guitar is worth what you pay for it if it delivers the goods. That’s up to you. The court of public opinion is never the right place to find what moves you. 500-550 can be totally reasonable depending on the guitar.
