To say the least, I thought we (Seahawks) were out of the Superbowl, but if you watched the game today, they came on strong in the 4th quarter and took the game with overtime.
The Packers were very good though.
Now to win the Bowl two years in a row!

Congrats, Corey...my Steelers were out pretty early this year, so I Reeeeeally hope the Hawks whoop the Patriots...the more I watch Tom Brady, the more I think he is an Indonesian knock- off of an actual football player...I've really never seen anyone whine as much as he does...(yes, he's a great QB, but would still be if he didn't throw his temper tantrums every game) Pats fans might call this sour grapes, but he really does whine like a $trat player wishin' he had a 513 !!!

At least the Ravens saw to it that the Steelers started their post season TV playoff viewing early....

And Brady IS the whimpiest quarterback in either league.

Um...not to put too find a point on it, but didn't this wimpy guy Brady just set the all-time NFL playoff record for most yards, most touchdowns, etc., etc...?

Maybe you saw this wimpy guy lead his team to his what, remind me, is it his fourth or fifth super bowl?

Maybe you noticed that Tom gets up after some pretty big hits?

What was the final score of today's game, by the way? Oh, wait, I see...the wimp led them to a 45-7 pounding of the other team.

Not that I'm merely a fan of the guy because he went to Michigan and coming out as seventh round pick kicked ass from Day One...I mean that's pretty good.

Plus his wife's not bad.

as a Bears fan who (aghast) went to college in Wisconsin I will say that the Packers pretty much owned the first three quarters then gave the game away at the end. No offense to the Seahawks, but they didn't look like themselves in Q1-3. I will STRONGLY be rooting for the Seahawks in Superbowl 49 but honestly the packers (based on most of tonite's performance) should be in the Bowl.

Not exactly what high school team the Pats were playing tonight ;-)

Yes, Les...he absolutely gets credit for being a great Quarterback...but face it...unless your from NE or went to Michigan, he's more famous for ...

Which is not at all a bad thing, right?

I'm not famous for anything. How about you?

I know that Ruger's annual Dental Training Camps are grueling, but I am going to go out on a limb and bet that an NFL training camp where you're competing directly for your job and world class athletes are trying to rip your head off might be a little more grueling. And try drilling teeth with four 300 pound linemen coming at you...

Did we talk about the $24,000,000 contract extension? Hey, that's even more than I got this year! I know, wimpy as hell. They're paying that because he's so wimpy, they want the world record for wimpyness. They want to go not just to the Super Bowl, they want to go to the Wimp Bowl.

Which is held...let's see...oh, yes, it's being held at my mom's house this year. Sorry mom! I know you're only wimpy because you're 90! (The woman was feisty as hell when she was in her 70s, and my friends were literally terrified of her when she was 40, it's a shame what age does isn't it?).

Here's the fun part. Giselle as of 2007, before marrying Tom, according to Wiki, "was the 16th richest woman in the entertainment industry. In 2012 she placed first on the Forbes top-earning models list. As of 2014, she is listed as the 89th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes.[SUP]["

[/SUP][SUP]In other words, this guy Ruger's calling a wimp is not only a force of nature unto himself, he's handling being married to another force of nature.
And that, my friend, is not wimpy! I dunno about you, but I have enough trouble dealing with a wife who is a regular person. Imagine being married to #89 on the power list, brother, you'd NEVER get a new guitar![/SUP]

Um, Brady didn't even beat out Drew Bledsoe for the starting job - he got it when Bledsoe was injured. And that was in his second season - he started his rookie season as the fourth-string QB. The Pats were 1-1 in his first two games before Brady started to hit his stride. Which doesn't diminish what he's done in his career - but it's hardly "kick(ing) ass from Day One."

Sergio, your pic is prettier than the one I am posting :D

Still cannot believe how they bounced back with only a few minutes remaining on the clock.
I guess I gotta get my hair dyed now.
There is a woman at work who wants to dye it blue/green Seahawk colors for an upcoming photo shoot here at work.
For the past two Fridays many at work here come to work with their Seahawks shirts/jerseys, and we get a photo taken that gets printed out big and hung up around the place, pretty cool.

"I'm not famous for anything. How about you?"...et al...
Wow, is all I got...sorry, Les...Your posts are always well thought out, and insightful...including the above...Yes, he's a fantastic quarterback, well paid, and has quite a wife...and most teams would welcome him with open arms...
however...
All I'm saying is my teams' quarterback would definitely be voted "Most likely to NOT be invited home for dinner when my sister/daughter/mother/niece is gonna be in the same state", and I think most people (again, outside New England and Michigan fans) would vote Mr. Brady "Most likely to win the leading role in the NFL's version of "The Vagina Monologues".

It's OK, Les. you can defend him if you like him.

And I never said he isn't a VERY talented quarterback, he is. And they ALL get up after some pretty big hits. Those that don't go to injured reserve or early retirement.

I'm looking at my post and I should have said "whinyest". Whimp is a synonym for whine, but the latter is a bit more accurate. I'll defer and rephrase.

Brady is the whinyest quarterback in the game.

I know that Ruger's annual Dental Training Camps are grueling, but I am going to go out on a limb and bet that an NFL training camp where you're competing directly for your job and world class athletes are trying to rip your head off might be a little more grueling. I compare Brady unfavorably in his whining for a penalty compared to the other similarly built and physically fit quarterbacks actively playing in the league.

You compare him favorably to a 60 year old dentist who is trying to lose another 10 pounds.

Got it.

15 points in 44 seconds. I'd like to throw myself off a cliff today(not really, but..).

Whimp, whiner, panty-waist, wuss, p*ssy... by any measure, Brady excels in all of those categories compared to the other quarterbacks facing the same NFL defenses.

And as you point out, he's paid to face those defenses.

...still not sure how my occupation/age or yours figures into that equation.

You're the one who brought up age in the first place, Ruger!

But do I really need to explain why at 60 you'd be a whimpering blob of jelly following an NFL hit? In fact, at 30 you'd have been whimpering blob of jelly following an NFL hit.

You're an armchair quarterback sitting around in front of a computer mouthing off about an NFL quarterback and calling the guy a ***** on the internet. Like you're a he-man of some kind yourself. It's silly, and only highlights the difference between the guy who's all mouth, and the guy who's out there taking the hits.

Calling out a guy like Tom Brady? It only makes you look bad.

Ok. I get it. Les.

I watch a fair amount of football. I see QBs getting hit. I see who gets up and plays on, talking with their front line about better protection or picking up the blitz. And I see Brady who first tries to get a penalty from the ref. And he does it in obvious disproportion to the other QBs playing the game. It isn't about toughness, it's about the whining to the ref.

But I'm just a dentist as YOU brought up, and am not a pro football player and never have been. So I'm not allowed to talk about what I, myself, have seen happen with notable frequency.

Be careful of your yardstick on who can say what about what, Les. Or at least apply it evenly and universally, starting with yourself.

My comparisons are to other players who are playing in the same league at the same level. But, you keep comparing Tom Brady to me. WTF is that about??? Of all the members on this forum, I would never have expected the personal attack you make above from you, Les. It saddens me greatly.

Any other subjects I'm not allowed to comment on, Les?

Don't bother answering because I'm sure your list is long based on your intimate knowledge of what I have or have not done in my life to this point. I'll save you the trouble and just STFU about everything for a while.

Wow...sorry I may have started this mess...I guess its just most of the people outside the New England area that feel this way...and for the record, I've been to more than a few Ravens / Patriots games down here in Baltimore , along with a Steelers / Patriots game in Pitt and most of the 60,000 or so in attendance feel similarly...the chants are pretty self explanatory. And besides, I for one am a GREAT armchair Quarterback...just ask my wife. I threw many-a-beer at the TV this year during Steeler games!!!!! I personally feel I could solve the NFL's woes if given the Opportunity. Les, you don't take up for Detroit's Mdonkey-kong Suh, do ya'??? I bet some people from Detroit do.
Serg, Thanks for attempting to lighten the mood.
