About 20 years ago I picked up a 1996 CE24 with birds (birds on CE's was a rare thing in those days) in black cherry with a funky kinda quilted top (non 10 of course). Fast forward to about 3 or 4 years ago I was very surprised to notice how much it had faded after viewing some older photos from when I first got it.

I'm not too sure whether I am pleased with the fade or disappointed... I mean I'm disappointed it doesn't look like it did, but I still dig how it has faded. However, now I always store it in it's case. ...... or should I let it stay out and continue to fade?

Here are a few pics..

It also has a Rush nekkid starman logo for the TRC which was made by a fellow forumite for me.

I have a ‘93 CE in Black Cherry (that I bought new) and it hasn’t faded at all. It’s totally not a case queen either, it’s been subjected to decades of outdoor shows too as it was pretty much my main guitar for 20 years. Go figure.

Yours looks dope though, it’s kinda raspberry lookin’.

I'm in the 'let it age' camp, Jo.

Also, I'm digging that Zinky.

Side note: While most of us from the old days know the story, I think a lot of the folks around here would get a kick out of your 'Jo(e)' story, with the photo of you-know-who on his knees, begging for forgiveness.
