Agreed...but it’s hard for me not to select it when spec’ing a Private Stock and it is an option.

spendy means different things at different times

my $300 used LP was VERY spendy when I was 18
my $1200 used CU24 was spendy when I was 35
my WL P24 was a little spendy 2 years ago....

My 1800 buck McCarty seems a walmart git compared to some of these masterpieces. I would be afraid to touch one, much less prove the "in a smokey bar" legal scenario!!...Beautiful all!!!

Although I did buy in the UK, this cost around $5800 if I convert it...

Anyway, she is a beauty and the pictures really don't do her justice - but this is by far my most 'spendy' Guitar - beating my previous highest, (my 594) by well over $1000....

My CE24 was just under $2k out the door. I was prepared to spend up to $4k on the right Core Custom 24 model, but THE one was only half the price. So I also bought an Elite Strat with the change.

Well I spent $2400 for my '63 Gibson ES-330 w/ Bigsby that I picked up from a pawnshop 3 yrs. ago. It's probably worth $5K+/-

My other guitar, I paid $500 for it back in '84 and it's probably worth $5K+/-, and it's my '80 Gibson "JImmy Wallace" '58RI "Proto" LP Quilted Standard.
