Greetings,

I just bought an SE Custom 22 semi-hollowbody new. The whammy bar was in the gig bag pocket, in a sealed plastic bag with the neck and bridge adjustment tools. So I have to assume it is the correct one and definitely unused. But the fit in the hole in the bridge is WAY too loose; it falls out easily. Is this by design? Is there a way to remedy the problem? Wrap some electric tape on the bar or something? Other than that, I really like the guitar.

Thanks for the help!

There’s a set screw in the bridge. You come at it from the bottom (like from the strap pin). One of the (wonderfully named, if misspelled) Allen wrenches should fit it.

Looks like the correct spelling to me! :D

Funny story, my middle name is named after my father's, spelled Allen. But it wasn't until his 50's that he saw it spelled Alan on his birth certificate. He'd been spelling wrong on everything his entire life, including on me! :p
