Almost sounds like a song

Since I have an SE Kingfisher on order, and when I got my SE ZM awhile back, I had one to many guitars (7) for my 6 Hercules wall mounts.
I added two more yesterday to a smaller wall to the right of my TV, and it is for my non PRS guitars.
All the PRS ones will now be on the wall with 6 hangers.
Once I get the Kingfisher, all 8 mounts will be utilized.

If I get anymore guitars, I gotta move
Actually I need to start looking before too long as I want a bigger place with a garage and a place where I can let my amps go to 11.

When I do move, I will use a nice strip of wood to mount all of the Hercules mounts to it, then just mount the wood strip with the supports behind the drywall.
I really like these Hercules mounts too, very heavy duty.
Each one of them is drilled into the wall studs behind the drywall, so the guitars are not going anywhere.

Missing from there:
408, SE Santana, SE Custom 24, and the SE Tremonti Custom.
I only get out 2 guitars from their cases (the Fernandes is out all the time) during the weekends, and on a long time off from work or at Christmas break (about 17 days) I get them all out and play them.
Kind of a hassle to get them all out during a normal weekend or a three day weekend like this past weekend.

Missing is the 4x12 Carvin cab, and a few other heads.
They are in the spare bedroom.
Cannot wait to get a bigger place later and have a dedicated room for all of the gear.

Dealer told me my Grainger case arrived at his shop, now all I need is for the Kingfisher to arrive.

Now that is badass!
You can display them year round to enjoy them without having to case them, and not worry about them getting dusty from being out.
That is so slick.

Just curious...guitars live on walls in music stores.

My place gets dusty very fast, and I even run three of those air filtration units in separate rooms from Honeywell.

When cased up, they live in my case/accessory cabinet I had built for me last year.

Why not leave them out the whole time?

Though it's a matter of personal preference, there are good reasons to keep them cased:

Dust kills potentiometers. Most homes also have lots of cooking debris and oils circulating in the air at mealtime, and that stuff is worse than dust because it attracts more dust into the pots.

A typical room changes in temperature and humidity several times during the day, and the case buffers those changes, making them easier on the guitar because the guitar "feels" them less rapidly, and it's rapid changes in temp/humidity that cause guitars to go out of whack.

As to the music store question: People generally don't cook in music stores, and music stores only have the guitars out to display their inventory, not because it's good for the instruments.

It's hardly all that difficult to go and open a guitar case and pull the guitar out. I realize that some folks can't stand to do it, but I need the exercise.

I like the room Corey .

What I do is put extra hangers on the wall and then it starts to drive me nuts. Instant NGD is the easiest fix to help an empty wall hanger lol
