I coulda said Frankenstein but… Kelly LeBrock is really more of what I’m after. It’s a thought process inspired by getting down to just a few guitars.

I have a bunch of modded PRS, and a pile of fancy @ss parts strewn across them. Stuff like wings, 5x/0x pickups, MannMade/MilCom trems, 25th anniversary cases, etc.

Thinking about Voltron-ing all the lil parts that bring me the most joy, sound the best, are the coolest bits, and are the most “Sergio”.

I need to completely Design on a Dimebag that DC3 this spring/summer, my ‘93 CE needs a complete overhaul after… sheesh, coming up on 30 years of faithful servitude, and the Westie needs some fine tuning (I need to “hybrid” some wings to match the rest of the hardware and really gotta get a one piece trem in there).

Anybody who’s downsized tried this?

Not with parts but definitely number of guitars. I’m less interested in volume and more about quality and joy that each brings me. I still lust after a lot, but am more a one or two out for one in guy lately rather than hoarding.

Dibbs on a 25th anniversary case!

I've had to do this in about every "mania" I've had. It's difficult at first but liberating once free. I sold a few lesser guitars and haven't thought twice about it. I'm trying to bring myself to do it again but this cut will be more difficult. The easier dump will be my parts..

I've got a one piece trem in a box that you can have. It's one of the unplated ones.

That's what I've done with my Strats. I've been through a bunch and kept distilling my favorite mods/parts until I came to my own sort of signature model. I don't play other guitars much these days.

I've swapped stuff back and forth as I went through my SE guitars. I definitely Frankensteined my SE One. It's pretty much ruined me on other SE models now (although a 277 would be fun for something different).

Long story short, two Strats and an SE that I've tweaked the hell out of, plus my 594, and I'm set for like 99% of what I do.
