what do you get when you mix a 20" crash and some scrap mahogany?

a wind chime of course

Love it man - that cymbol should tarnish to a really nice dark color too after a few rain showers.

I've been thinking of making one from wood blocks, but got a death threat from somewhere in the greater Chicago metro area.

Looks good, Shawn.

Is it a wind chime or a "call me anything but late to dinner" gong? Looks very nice. Must be serial number 13 00001 and a pre-factory model too.
My homeowners association would probably send me a warning letter if I put one of those up.

Let that be a lesson to all of you! :box:

Cool work Shawn.

That is actually very cool. But it pains me that you had to sacrifice one musical instrument to make another

Way cool! I'd hang that from my pergola in a heartbeat! And I HATE wind chimes!

Very Nice, I have some old cymbals in the garage. My wife has been edging me to throw them out.....Shawn, thanks for saving them from the junk pile.

Thanks guys! It sounds nice, but not too loud. The wind only blows the striker a few inches away so it doesn't sound like Keith Moon is sitting on m front porch.
