Weekend dilemma

House is empty for a few hours. It’s a beautiful long weekend. So do I:

- be civilized and play classical on the deck
- sit in the music room with a view and wind up the Mark V
- try the Kemper through my MDT 4x10 in the windowless library
- try the Kemper through my Fishman pedestal out on the patio and hope my neighbours are already deaf

I did play a Vox, a Marshall, and something else on the Kemper. It sounded pretty good through the MDT cab. Rosewood Santana for that round. I looked at my old Les Paul while I was there, but didn’t plug it in.

Cranked the Mark V in the room looking out to the woods. Brain’s Instagram post compelled me to pull out the Tree of Life, which in my case is a SC250 with 57/08. You can make that sucker scream. I think the neighbours on both sides went to the cottage - not sure if it was before or after I plugged in though.

It might be time for a malt beverage.

Oh, and to carry on the story.
Last night between the sunset and the moonrise I played the classical - the ladies were doing peaceful things the next room over.

This afternoon, they were out so I went with the deck plan - but inside because it was stinking hot and humid. I used my original hollowbody - 20 years old this year.

I had the same kind of decision to make today, but in fewer rooms.

I wound up cranking up the DG30 and played a 594 through it.

No sense in going acoustic with my wife gone for the afternoon!
