This is one of those things that trancends the mundane stuff like politics, comedy, etc. So it doesn't matter what side of the fence you're on or whether or not you like the show...
Stephen Colbert's mother died last week. He returned to the show last night, and opened with a tribute to his mother. We should all be lucky enough to have one person care for us one-tenth of how much they clearly loved each other. I watched this thing three times, and it got me each and every time.
