Was Pearl White a Custom Color in 1997?

I have what I believe is a Pearl White Standard 24. According to the serial number, it was made in 1997. I have not been able to find any other Pearl White PRS guitars from that year. In fact, I've usually only found them in that color around 1986/87. Was Pearl White a custom color in 97? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Cool guitar. Yes, that's Pearl White. I've seen a few in that color around '96/'97. Not many though.

Whether or not it was a "custom color" I can't answer. If I had to guess I'd say it was. Let me see if I have some literature from '97.

Seriously...that's honestly the first thing I thought when I saw this guitar. But since I don't know Sergio outside of a few posts on this forum, I figured I'd let someone else make the call.

I love my antique white FrankenSchecter, but this pearl white 24 is just...I have no words...

Maple top for Customs, Standards are all mahogany.
