After I loaded a crane maintenance machine onto one of the Boeing truck drivers here at work, we got to talking about guitars.
He had wanted to buy my 2012 SE Custom 24, but he ended up getting a used Ibanez RG, something that was made exclusively for Guitar Center.
It plays like crap he says, and will not stay in tune.
He also has a Fender tube amp that can get nice and dirty, but only if cranked, and he cannot play that loud at home, even with a house as it will drive his wife nuts.
Enter my Blackstar ID15 I have at work.
You can get any tone you want at any volume, even a whisper.
Sometimes a solid state amp is what you need if you need to keep it nice and low, but sound agreesive.
He came inside my office and tried out my 2012 SE Tremonti Custom I keep here, and the amp.
He was blown away at the quality of the Tremonti over any other electric guitar he has tried, and also liked how the amp sounded "metal" even at a very low volume.
I think he may be wanting to buy the Custom 24 at a later date, and I will run it to my dealer later as it still has the Cobalts on it from 2012 when I bought it, and the original setup they did on it.
He also knows my dealer as he bought a keyboard there years ago.
He is just now getting into guitar, so the PRS will be a great guitar for him, plus it will stay in tune
