Warming-up to the S2s

When I saw the 15% off MF email of course I was lured over there and started looking at PRSs.
They have a LOT of S2s.
First thing I noticed was that the MAP on say a SC is like $1300 :-O

I'm THAT GUY who has been ranting about the S2s (not raving, RANTING).
Without having ever played, held, touched or even SEEN one in the flesh I made my judgements.

Well....after taking a much closer look.... they still aren't on my GAS list but I wanna try one.

Point is... I wanna try one now. I wont be buying one...at least not NEW....I LOVE my SEs and core PRSs but I am looking forward to trying an S2.

I just bought my S2 SC yesterday...

I don't know about where the parts are made and all of that,,,,this I do know....

I come from a family where almost every male has played the guitar for three generations back. So, I have handled a lot of guitars, Fenders, LP etc etc......

I did pay the $1610 out the door price and yes, I do agree it may be a bit pricey to some, but, people blow money on lots of crap and don't even think about it.

My S2 SC is nowhere near crap and after a day of playing my girl friend, I have ZERO regrets!

For me, it plays like a dream, the balance in perfect and I just can't get enough.....

I have my S2 hooked up to a small Fender M-80 and the tones melt my heart. The action is fast and the neck feels great in my hands.

Have you heard a guy tell a girl that she makes him want to be a better man, well, my S2 makes me want to be a better guitar player so that I can do right by my S2.

She deserves to crank out tunes worthy of her name..........

I am IN LOVE!!!!!!!!!

The SC is probably the best bang for your buck S2. All of the important parts are core parts...bridge, nut, pots, etc. Swap the pickups and you got a top notch axe.

You can make the same claim for the Mira, which is what I have, and I agree with you. I ended up swapping the pickups and it has transformed it into the best guitar I have ever owned, regardless of price.

My s2 cu24 is my go to. I bought it for a backup to my dgt but I keep reaching now for it. Love the thing .

If it were me, Seymour Duncan JB & Jazz with the nickle covers. That guitar just screams hot bridge pickup rock machine to me.

Same here. I loaded my Mira with a DiMarzio Super Distortion bridge and a PAF Pro neck and it flat out kills. My 245 has a Tremonti Bridge and Vintage Bass neck, same result. My SG has a Dirty Fingers in the bridge and stock neck. Hot bridge/vintage neck is my preferred setup and I would put a flamethrower in the bridge of that SC.
