waiting for the SE-277 to arrive

What scale length is it? What tunings will you use? Can you use Eb tuning without issue?

Cool guitar.

Its the most comfortable playing guitar I've ever picked up with a exceptional fit and finish a
perfect setup and most of all the sound is amazing with the string through bridge and the chambered body the sustain
is beautiful....I just ordered another SE-277 in black.....yes it far exceeded my expectations by 100%

I have one of these (in Gray-Black). I love it! I keep it tuned to A standard - works well for the songs we play in the band. I have restored my Mike Mushok Baritone to B standard tuning, so I can get all djenty at home.

It has a really nice tone - the combo of soapbars and semi-hollow really works well (for me, at least).

Does it get a little flabby tuned down to A do you get fret buzz if you play hard.....

I got rid of my Mushok because I had it for several years and it always sounded very "metal". I guess cal it djenty. Just wanted something more classic rock sounding but tuned low. Most baritones are either for metal or spaghetti western type stuff. In the year between the discontinuation of the Mushok and the introduction of the 2 277s, I built one from parts. It's fine. Nothing to write home about. But now the 277s are available and everyone seems to be getting the semi-hollow soapy version and raving about them. I don't have time to go around to every shop looking for one, especially since the dealers here are terrible, but I would like to play one before I buy one.

I think they are consistent in the QC on the SE models
if your into baritone for this price there is nothing close
these are exceptional instruments the fit & finish playability
and most of all the sound of the P-90's with the string through
bridge and chambered body the sustain is amazing, you need to play this through a system
that can capture the full spectrum of sound from this instrument, I fell in love wit my 277 see (my profile pic)
and just ordered a black one should be here on the 21st,..... did I mention how effortless the neck feels...

I'm surprised the P90s work for baritone. It seems like when I've tuned low I'm always searching for more pickup output.
