Volume pot issues on DGT

I

picked up a used DGT SE goldtop and it sounds phenomenal. I’ve got a second one and this one is brighter and definitely more single coily sounding. Which is awesome. But neither of the volume pots work correctly. I get basically no volume drop until I get to about 2. Then it drops to nothing from 2 to zero.
I asked Grok and it said a linear volume pot with the humbuckers could do this. I don’t think the guy before me changed anything - but it sure makes me wonder. Also don’t know if it was a mod for maybe making it brighter? It’s a little brighter - just kind of a different mid-voicing. I’ve attached a pic of the pots, it I don’t see anything weird. The resistor soldering looks a little sloppy, so it makes me suspect something has been modded. Anyone have any insight?

Thanks

Looks like the caps have 181 on them - so they’re stock. The resistor is brown black blue gold - so 10MOhm? Is that stock?

I’d probably email prs and ask what’s stock. Pot tolerances vary which can change the overall brightness of any 2 guitars. Changing the value of the resistor on a volume pot, you can tweak to your preference. As to the taper of the pot, I really like the pots prs uses on the core guitars. Just me, but I’d yank those alpha pots out and swap for the USA pots.

500k pots are the norm. I would double check and make sure nothing is touching. The bare braided wires can cause it to short.
The resistor on the volume pots bring the 500k pots down to a lower value. The resistors on the push/pull should be 1.1k and 2.1k. Pots do go bad even new ones. I would just swap them out
