Volume knob issue

Had my Tremonti SE just over a week now.
Having an issue with the bridge volume knob.
It's very scratchy sounding and worse yet sometimes when I go to turn it just slightly I loose all volume.
I'd just like to know what you all think.
Sound like an easy fix?
Or should I exchange under warranty?

Either a bad pot or more likely a ground or solder joint problem. Your local guitar tech should be able to fix that easily. PRS would cover it, even if you have to send it back to them.

Easy fix, it's under warranty; if you like the guitar, PRS will take care of it for you.

If you like the neck, then have a warranty repair done. Some PRS have good necks and some are unbelievable. I have a 2004 Silver SE Tremonti with a neck that`s perfect for me.
