Are you guys liking them in 2020 over Phase 3 ones?

I've seen a few 2020 models with Phase 3 locking tuners, still. Does anyone know if they are "old" spec but built in 2020, or are they already featuring the TCI pickups and new finish?

If dealers had orders in with the Phase III, that's how they went out, regardless of build date. IIRC, dealers can still spec an order with PIII tuners. I have a late 2019 594 that has the TCI and Nitro finish. It also had the vintage tuners which I replaced with PIII because I am lazy, and prefer locking tuners. Any 594 with a 2020 serial number will have TCI and Nitro. That change was made on the 594 line back in November (or late October)

Thanks, your comment helped me a lot (more on that later). Having bought my first PRS a while ago (again, more on that later, but separate topic), I really enjoy the locking tuners. I'm a sucker for aesthetics, though, and the vintage ones really look the part.

Glad I could help out.

Did you notice any change in tone when you changed the tuners? I have a 20 594 that came with P3 tuners and I’m thinking of changing to vintage style.

My ear isn’t good enough to notice. I can tell you the vintage tuners are lighter than the PIII. I posted a photo in some thread of the weight difference. Can’t remember what it was, and don’t have the picture anymore. I think it was around half an ounce.

The Vintage ones work fine, but they don't feel as smooth/precise as the Phase 3.

My guess is few people can test the difference in tone between the tuners ... even if their ears could tell. Suspect comparing two guitars with the same tuners will have more variation than anything the tuners would change.

How they look and whether or not they lock is more a personal preference than anything that affects performance
