Yeah, thats right, I said it - VINTAGE PRS!

I want to see your 1985 or pre-1985 stuff. Maybe even throw in an '86 - '88. Semi-vintage First year Private Stocks, first year McCartys, Dragon I, II, III. Rarities.
It's time vintage PRS gains more momentum in the collector community. I want to talk about them with you. Looking forward to it!

So much for all blue PRS guitars fading. That looks awesome.

Looks just like my ‘87 custom, only much nicer 😁

Gone, but not forgotten = An early example of a McCarty (i.e. When the model designation was hand written on the back of the headstock from the factory):

I love that the first year 1994 McCartys have the hand written model...first 100 are items that people should snatch up for sure.

I have Standard 22s from 1995 and 1998 - nowhere near vintage considering what is about to get posted on here by some of y'all, but they're phenomenal instruments.

Here's an '87 Bass-5, procured for my wife, but she's decided 4 strings is enough, so occasionally I whack around on it:

It's not in pristine condition by any means, and doesn't have a figured top, just solid red, but it plays nicely! It was the 47th bass that PRS made, according to the serial number.

That's the oldest PRS guitar we have. After that it's a 1990 CE.

Very cool - great value on these as well.

The oldest PRS I owned and played back in the day was a 93 CE24. I wanted one in high school in the 80's but electrical engineering school was going to eat all the funds pitching in with Mom and Dad. So I still played the 1978 Peavey T-60 all the way through college!
