Those early fretboards were at the same time beautiful, but less consistent in the quality of the inlay routing.
Actually the inlays themselves were all nice and the shells used gave them nice variations.
Most of the fretboards used were beautiful as well!
I'll start with my 1992, which seems to have less filler.
Probably as they were improving production techniques these got better with time.
A friend's 1988 has a lot of filler between the inlays...
But the highlights are the nice BRW grain and the colourful bird inlays!!
