My band asked to play the victory motorcycle demo days at RJ performance in Ottumwa iowa. It was a fun gig with about 90 people signing up to ride. We played 3-7 so getting home by 9:00 was a nice change. The folks at RJs were awesome to work with and worked hard to make sure things went smooth.

Im not into cruisers but im 48 and my ZX9 is getting harder to ride. I have an RF900 that my wife and I travel on but its getting harder to ride as well. Maybe something more comfortable is in my future????

Anyway, the most impressive thing I saw was the "Zero" electric bike. It was an endure type of machine and I have no idea what size it would be considered to be engine wise. It beat every v-twin in the 1/8 mile drag race. There was a zx14 with a pipe and extended swingarm. The way it smoked its tire in the first 3 gears leads me to think it was chipped. From where I was standing, they looked dead even in the drag race. Impressive!!!

We earned some fans as we played well and sounded good too. I love outdoor gigs because I have nice sounding PA gear and I like to "drop the hammer" when we get the chance. Took my cu22 and my cu24 and rocked them both!!!!! I just love my prs guitars!!!!!

Outdoors can be a challenge depending on the weather, but I like playing for Rider type events - they are there to have a good time and like live music! (rather than a DJ ;) )

Sounds like you had fun! Congrats! :D

I used to have a black Victory V92C with 2.25" D&D straight pipes. It was awesome. I went to the Sturgis rally with it in 2000. With side bags loaded, t-bag loaded [snicker], and my girlfriend (at the time) on the back, it was still one of the best performing bikes on the road - especially in the hills.

Back then, Victory motorcycles shifted like farm tractors. You could hear the "CLACK" of a gear change from a quarter mile away. These days the transmissions are as good as the engines and there seems to be a model for every taste.

I was in sturgis in 2000. Had my rf900. Went to the nebraska bmw rally on the way home. I remember it being too hot to breath.

I would agree victory bikes have improved since then, the ness team helped improve the look as well. Very nice machines.
