Very roasted necks

Not necessarily the color I'd be most eager to get (keeping an eye on what else they get in this wood library run) but these highly roasted necks sure are a great match for a yellow tiger finish.

Good thing I'm not left handed as that one is even more roasted with a charcoal cherry burst:

Love the rosewood like color, though I'm very surprised they roast them this dark.
Musikraft used to have such a highly roasted option for their necks but stopped doing it as the wood became too brittle. I installed a LSR nut on a roasted maple neck over the week-end and it chipped in 3 places; on the plus side it glues back nicely/invisibly...
