I'll start with the review so you can see what the spider capo are all about.

Setting the Capo to give a Spanish tuning

i'll no doubt make loads more vids as and when I discover net tunings, but i'm really amazed how good the side capo is, 25 years of messing around with historical and conventional tuning got to be a little boring so these add a new dimension.

Thanks more vids to come as and when, messing around with a advanced C Major open chord tonight, sounds very 'folkish'

Very cool, Darren - already working on something of my own w/the Spider. It started as just a little noodling and has developed into a bit more. Only have a very rough version down. Just need to find time to get a real version on disc. Probably will record it twice, just to get a comparison between my Larrivee and the SE Angeles Custom.

Thanks Alan. I don't know whether it's cos of the new gear (Guitar and Capos) or whether some of lifes frustrations has been going on with me this last month are finally over with, but my creativity and song writing has gone through the roof, yesterday I got through at least 2 songs and since getting the capos 5 songs have been created, like yours they need cleaning up and finalised but tall the concept and basic structure is there....(one of them as a really cool chugging riff that would be more at home on a electric but sounds great on the SE Angelus)

I don't think we should make this thread exclusively for the spider though, lets include all alternate tunings with and without capos, so that we let the electric players in too :) that way we can keep the thread alive.

I just found a pdf document that says there is 63 possible tuning/cofingurations of the spider capo per fret, this is going to take a while LOL. I probably going to stick with 3 or 4 that i've found to sound nice.

Another vid this time with the capo set to replicate DADGAD but a whole step up, the guitar is still tuned to standard and is a rough idea of a song I've been writing in this configuration of the capo.

I will not be posting anymore vids on this forum given the abusive comments I received/ woke up to today on one of these vids,to that end I have removed all the vids I have created and posted, ratings and comments have now been disallowed on all my vids pending approval. There's some really nasty condescending users on this forum. i might not be the worlds greatest player but some of the other vids I've seen on here I may be of the same calibre as a lot of of you. The comments That I received definitely came from this forum. guess they were to scared to say in the thread, that's why youtube has a analytic page whilst it does offer some anonymity it has definitely come from here.

Can't believe I ve only been a member for a week and already someone has angered me. guess that's what happens when you get people running around waving £10000 gutars in peoples faces, I'm no jealous of that but I won't tolerate Elitism just cos people think that cos they can have the expensive gear, I have more respect for those like me who have to sell their high end gear and run around with budget guitars, cos they are real people.

Sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my chest after what arrived in my inbox this morning. And 1 bad apple has spoiled the whole bunch.
