You're right, we totally missed an opportunity for unrelenting fun and mischief.

I think it's a kid who's trying to pawn his dad's Custom 22 while dad is out getting drunk and cheating on his mother with the girl he met at the bar who is ten years younger than him but looks ten years older. He's a little sprite of a kid so he can't just wail on his old man or call him out in some way like the rest of us would in this situation, so he has to get back at him by stealing something the cheating bastard really loves. He's already punched holes in all of dad's condoms but that just isn't enough to teeth his broiling anger. But in the end he'll chicken out and leave the PRS in the closet and turn to drugs and porn.
