So I’m cleaning up the used ‘20 US Silver Sky I just bought and had to completely remove/clean the bridge plate — which included removing the six “trem screws” (the PO “sort of” floated the trem but didn’t do it correctly). I want to put everything back to stock, including decking the rear of the trem/bridge plate. My understanding is the front of the bridge plate is supposed to have clearance to the body — does anyone exactly know how much? If I’m tracking it all this clearance is set by the height of the six trem screws, and that all screws are to be matching in terms of height.

I’ve watched the YouTube vids and the stock setting of front bridge plate height is clear as mud. Any info most appreciated!.

Found it myself (finally). The correct clearance to the body at the front of the bridge plate is 1/32” (by adjusting all six “fulcrum screws” to obtain a consistent result all the way across the front of the plate).

What seems to have worked well was to gently tighten all six screws evenly so that the front of the plate was decked against the body, and then back out all screws 1/4 turn each until the 1/32” clearance was obtained. They all now look like they’re the same height across the plate.
