I put Duncan Seth Lovers in every PRS I have -- not Silver Sky. I think they sound at least as good as 57/08s. A pretty proven choice for semi hollow guitars in general also.
Your 2020 seHb2 has varying reports on what the pickups are. PRS lists them as 5815S. But there is a member here that PRS support told the seHb2 always had 5815LTS. They just renamed them in 2023 for uniformity with the launch of the se594. I don't know about 2020 but my '22 5815S seHb2 pickups read lower than normal 5815S, more like a 5815LTS.
When I was waiting for my seHb2 I picked up a set of core 5815LT. When my seHb22 arrived I decided to repurpose the core LT to other guitars. I've since picked up a set of 5708 TCI for it. Those are waiting to get repurposed. I also picked up a set of core Starla pickups. Those will get repurposed. Then I have a set of p90 humbuckers I'm dying to try in there.
The 5815S or "LTS" continue to fight and stay. It took me much longer than usual to get them dialed in, but once I did. It's hard to remove them. They sound great. Sure they don't have some of the finer attributes of the core pickups I've wanted to swap in, but they sound damn good.
Morale of story, get your pickups dialed in, live with them for a bit, and then decide on a swap or not. 5708 are great and you can't go wrong.
Here's my 2 cents: Imho, the 58/15 LT pups lack bite, in my 24 S2 Std. If you want great single coil sound, The PRS Narrowfields are amazing.
I Realize this thread is dead, but my search sent me here.
Between the 58/15 LT “S” in my SE HB II's and now the 85/15 "S" in my SE CU24 SemiHollow also I have no complaints about my tonal range etc. The single coil tap access on the new one kinda does for me the rest of what remains to be done. Ultimately I think they're each more right for the guitar they're in, as the toned-down-ness of the 58/15 LT "S" may somewhat limit what becomes a feedbacky push from the HB II especially overdriven. With the SemiHollow CU24 SE the splittable 85/15 "S" pups definitely have all remaining bite and snappiness with the crisp semisolidbody voicing coming through more.
